At The Himalayan Nest, we understand that travel plans can change. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the terms under which cancellations and refunds are processed for bookings made through our website or directly with us.

  1. Cancellation by Customer

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to:

Cancellation charges will apply as follows:

  1. a) Standard Cancellation Charges
  • 30 days or more before travel date – 10% of total booking amount
  • 15–29 days before travel date – 25% of total booking amount
  • 7–14 days before travel date – 50% of total booking amount
  • Less than 7 days before travel date – No refund
  1. Non-Refundable Services

Certain travel components are strictly non-refundable, including:

  • Peak-season hotel bookings
  • Special permits and entry fees
  • Advance payments made to third-party vendors
  • Transport bookings already confirmed

These charges will be deducted from any refund amount.

  1. Refund Process
  • Refunds will be processed within 7–15 working days after approval.
  • Refunds will be issued using the original mode of payment whenever possible.
  • Bank charges, payment gateway fees, or service charges may be deducted.
  1. Cancellation by The Himalayan Nest

We reserve the right to cancel bookings due to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Weather disruptions
  • Government restrictions
  • Safety concerns
  • Insufficient bookings

In such cases, customers will be offered:

  • A rescheduled trip date, OR
  • A full refund (excluding non-refundable third-party costs, if applicable)
  1. No-Show Policy

If a customer fails to appear for the trip without prior notice:

  • The booking will be treated as a no-show
  • No refund will be provided
  1. Early Departure / Unused Services

No refunds will be issued for:

  • Unused hotel stays
  • Missed sightseeing
  • Early departure from the trip
  1. Changes to Booking

Date changes or modifications are subject to:

  • Availability
  • Vendor policies
  • Applicable rescheduling charges
  1. Force Majeure

No refunds shall be provided for cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including:

  • Landslides
  • Political unrest
  • Pandemics
  • Government travel restrictions
  • Road closures or extreme weather

However, we will assist in rescheduling whenever possible.
